I came to Paris (from London) in 2002. The original plan was to stay for 6 months, but I'm still here, 5 years later! So Paris is doing something right ! I would say it grows on you, but this would imply that visitors will not enjoy the city, which is wrong. Every metropole has something to suit everyone's taste and each has its own twist. Paris, the most visited city in the world, is no exception. If you have more than a passing interest in food, culture (in all its manifestations) or fashion, then, you will feel very much at home in Paris. And it's simply a beautiful city, ideal to explore on foot.

You probably have traditional travel guides, so this mini-guide is intended to be a supplement. In real-life, I often act as a guide for friends who drop in from London for a few days. So I have tried to condense what I know into this guide. |
